CMAT 2026 and CMAT 2027: MBA Entrance Exam Guide
Understand CMAT planning, preparation areas, participating-institute research and official NTA updates.
Plan for the admission cycle, not only the test day
Before you begin, build a list of target schools and confirm which exams they accept for the relevant admission year. Record each school’s eligibility rules, selection process, application deadline and programme fit.
Preparation framework
| Stage | What to do |
|---|---|
| Foundation | Diagnose current verbal, quantitative, data interpretation and reasoning skills; create a sustainable weekly plan. |
| Practice | Use timed section practice, review errors and strengthen weak concepts before increasing mock-test frequency. |
| Applications | Keep academic records, identity documents, category/work-experience evidence and school shortlists ready. |
| After the test | Review each institution’s current shortlist and selection process rather than assuming one score has the same value everywhere. |

Frequently asked questions
Where should I check the current exam dates and rules?
Use only the current official exam website and published information bulletin. Registration, dates, fees, eligibility and test delivery can change from one cycle to another.
Should I prepare for more than one MBA entrance exam?
Choose an exam mix based on the schools you may apply to, the exam formats, application cost and the preparation time you can sustain.
Does a score alone guarantee admission?
No. Each institute has its own selection process and may use score, academics, work experience, written assessment, group exercise and interview criteria.
