The school of distance education and learning (SODEL) came into existence in 2008-09. But, it get its UGC approval in September 2009. The joint committee of AICTE-UGC-DEB grants permission to the university to start the UG and PG for distance learning students. The  Jaipur National University Distance Education aim is to easy access and quality education to the working and rural/tribal people.

The University is among the top 25 universities in the best private universities in India, by India Today Survey, 2019.  Jaipur National University is the first NAAC accredited self-financed University in the state. The JNU works with the collaboration of 8 countries. Under which it takes an active part in the teacher-student exchange programs, joint research programs, and design of the curriculum and other activities.

It provides 10 UG and PG programs for distance learners. To meet the demand of the present day the university provides knowledge savvy studies, online support, and quality SML. The JNU is considered to be the founder of making the educational hub in Rajasthan under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chancellor of Jaipur National University.

The university provides MBA programs in the following disciplines: Operation mgmt., finance mgmt., marketing mgmt., HRM, Rural mgmt., Hospitality mgmt., project mgmt., supply chain, construction mgmt., IT, Total quality mgmt., and International business mgmt.,

Note: An additional payment of ₹ 500 is required to be made for the admission process in the first year. Apart from that ₹. 2000 fees will be taken for back/due papers.

The payment of fees should be made by demand draft in favor of Jaipur National University payable at Jaipur.

Admission Process

The admission process is simple and hassle-free. Fill in the admission form available on the university website http://sodel.jnujaipur.ac.in/. Pay the fee along with the fully filled form in form of a demand draft. The admission fee is ₹. 500 (one-time payment) which needs to pay along with the first-semester fee.

The university does not conduct any entrance exams for admission. The merit list is formed based on the percentage attained in qualification degree (10+2 for bachelor level and Graduation for masters level). Moreover, the admission takes place twice a year viz: June and January.

Examination and Evaluation Criteria

The university has assignments as well as term-end exams for evaluation. Internal assignments are also there which need to be submitted handwritten by the learner. These are also evaluated and marks are added to the term-end result. 30 percent marks are assigned for internal assessment whereas 70 percent marks are for term end exam.

Moreover, the students of professional courses such as MBA and MCA need to submit research and project work. Some programs also have practical exams. For this purpose, the training centers will be provided by the university. The node of education is both English and Hindi and students can use either language for writing their exam papers.

Around 90% of the students get placement in reputed companies. Some of them even got the package of 12.0 LPA after placement.
